Public Meeting for New Hopewell Heights Community

Public Meeting for New Hopewell Heights Community

Thomasfield Homes has been working diligently for the last several years on planning its next community adjacent to the Hopewell Heights community in Breslau, Ontario. Hopewell Heights has been a successful and thriving community, attracting residents who regularly work or visit in the surrounding cities of Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. As the last phase of the current Hopewell Heights community is coming on stream, Thomasfield has prepared something brand new and exciting next door.

Located at the south west side of Highway 7 and Greenhouse Road is the proposed plan for a complete and innovative community in Breslau. This plan utilizes street patterns and urban forms that support walking, cycling and provisions for transit service. It also provides a mix of uses including residential, employment, commercial and institutional areas that support a vibrant neighbourhood while protecting natural heritage features and providing a connected park and open space system. The development will also include a future GO Transit railway station. It is designed to be a true "live, work, play" community, where shops, work, school and outdoor activities can all be reached within walking distance and reduce the dependence on the automobile.

A Public Meeting is scheduled for October 11th, 2011 at 7:00PM at the Woolwich Municpal Office in Elmira (24 Church Street West). More information about the meeting is located on Woolwich's website here.

Thomasfield Homes has been building new homes since 1978 in communities throughout Southern Ontario in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Breslau, Burlington, Woodstock, Acton, Burgessville and Grand Valley.
